DOMESTIC DIPLOMA AND CERTIFICATE REFUND POLICY


Enrolment Agreement / Refund Policy

By signing this enrolment form and enrolment agreement to apply to study at Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd a student agrees to the following policy in relation to refunds.

 

1. Full Refund of Tuition Fee(s)

A student will be entitled to a full refund, subject to 4(a)(iii) and 4(c)(iii), of tuition fees in the following circumstances:

a. Mackintosh College International ( Australia ) Pty Ltd is unable to deliver the course in which the student has enrolled

b. The course in which a student is currently enrolled ceases to be delivered

 

2. Refund of Tuition Fee(s) in the case of voluntary cancellation by student

A refund of tuition fees, subject to 4(a)(iii) and 4(c)(iii), may be granted if written notice of cancellation is received by Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd, as in the following circumstances:

a. If written notice of cancellation is made 28 days or more prior to the commencement of the course, a full tuition fee

refund less a $100 cancellation fee

b. If written notice of cancellation is made less than 28 days before the commencement of the course, a full tuition fee refund less a $450 cancellation fee

 

3. No Refund of Fees

Under no circumstances will the College approve a refund in relation to the following:

a. If the student cancels or withdraws their enrolment after having started their course

b. Fees paid for Application, Materials, Accommodation Placement, Job Club membership or Airport Transfer

c. If the student is excluded by Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd for unacceptable conduct or inappropriate behaviour

d. If a student is asked to leave the school for unsatisfactory attendance or poor academic performance

e. For sickness or for any other unexplained absence such as unauthorised leave.

f. For public holidays or for other official closures of Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd such as the annual College conference

 

4. Processing of Refunds

a. In the case of a refund pursuant to section 1. the following apply:

i. No application for refund will be considered until a written request for refund of fees is submitted

ii. Payment of the refund will be made in full within 14 days (inclusive) of the date at which the written application for refund is received by the College

iii. If no application fee has been paid as part of the initial enrolment, an administrative fee of AUD$50 will be deducted from the refundable amount

b. In the case of a refund pursuant to 2(a) and 2(b) the following apply:

i. No application for refund will be considered until a request in writing giving notice of cancellation accompanied by a request for a refund of fees is submitted to the College.

ii. If approved, payment of refund will be made in full within 28 days (inclusive) of the date at which the written application for refund is received by the College

iii. If no application fee has been paid as part of the initial enrolment, an administrative fee of AUD$50 will be deducted from the refundable amount

 

5. Approvals and Payment of Refunds

a. All applications for refunds will be assessed by and approved for payment at the sole discretion of the Director of Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd

b. Refunds, with the exception of circumstances outlined in5(c), are paid directly to the person who entered into the contract with Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty. Ltd.

c. A refund may be paid to a person or organisation who was not a party to the contract only if a written request from the person who entered the contract is received by the College requesting payment to an alternative person or organisation

d. All refunds are paid only in Australian Dollars ($AUD).

 

6. Consumer Protection

a. Nothing in this agreement removes the right to take further action under Australia 's consumer protection laws.

b. The dispute resolution process of Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd does not limit the students right to pursue other legal remedies

c. If a student requires assistance from outside Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd, they have the option to contact the Department of Employment and Training. In the case of dispute, students may seek independent mediation through the Dispute Resolution Branch, Department of Justice and Attorney General. Phone 1800 017 288

 

7. Confirmation & Signature

I wish to apply for enrolment at Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd. I have read and understood, and I agree to abide by the conditions of enrolment included in this form. I also understand that personal information provided to Mackintosh International College ( Australia ) Pty Ltd may be made available to Commonwealth and State agencies pursuant to obligations under the National Code.

 

* This agreement must be signed by a parent or guardian if student is under 18 years of age
