Career builders attain a Certificate or Diploma from Mackintosh College leading to the job they are seeking. Many clients who already have jobs or set careers find the courses at Mackintosh College as they provide ongoing professional development for their particular job or career. The majority of our courses are Centrelink, Austudy & Youth Allowance approved. Mackintosh College Short Courses also provide solutions for high-school students unsure of their academic future. Rather than making a long term decision regarding study, school students can choose to study a

Short Course to gauge the topics studied and develop an opinion on the industry and the range of full time and part time jobs available. All students are able to complete their career training through involvement in the Mackintosh College Job Placement program.  The career builder and job program develops student's employment skills to supplement their academic career training.  Students are able to sample a range of jobs through the Work Experience Assist program, and choose careers or jobs to pursue through the Employment Assist Program.

Mackintosh College staff place program members in jobs, many of which are not advertised elsewhere. All our courses are delivered by trained, professional staff and many lead to nationally-recognised qualifications. Our training is module-based which means that we can offer students a flexible mode of entry often commencing every Monday of the academic calendar.  Students benefit from a wide diversity of classmates from both local and international backgrounds providing a rich learning environment in all our Certificate and Diploma courses in Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing, Cooking and Hairdressing."
