This program provides comprehensive career training in all aspects of Hospitality Operations. Graduates are prepared for supervisory and management positions throughout the industry, including careers in hotels, resorts, clubs, taverns and restaurants. After completing your studies your career mobility will ensure you can apply for work almost anywhere in the world, or you may want to operate your own hospitality-related business.

Hospitality management qualifications can lead to work and further study abroad. Students receive training in front of house operations, bar, preparing and serving cocktails, RSA, operating cellar systems, coffee, through to management training in, rostering staff, and managing workplace relations and recruiting staff. The training includes industry field trips, group exercises and online interactive research to enable students to meet the standards set by the hospitality industry.
This nationally recognised course not only prepares students for the domestic hospitality industry, but opens a new world into international customers and their variety of cultural differences and needs. All of our courses are delivered by trained, professional staff and lead to nationally recognised qualifications. Our training is module-based which means that we can offer students a flexible mode of entry commencing every Monday of the academic calendar. Students are also offered direct articulation into undergraduate degrees and Mackintosh College staff can assist in this process.

DELIVERY & ASSESSMENT METHODS

  • Lectures are the principal means by which course material is delivered. Most classes are conducted in an interactive fashion. Students are expected to ask questions and actively contribute to class discussions. A student needs to be an active member of the class rather than a passive member. Students are required to comply with college policy on attendance and academic performance.
  • Students are notified at the start of each module of the content , assessment methods , time frames & outcomes
